CSC 110 D1: Introduction to Computer Programming

Short Description: Computer programming and program design using the JavaScript programming language. Emphasis is on Program Design and Algorithm Development while writing programs primarily about mathematical and scientific applications. This online course uses the Internet. Students are encouraged to attend the on-campus orientation session. If you are unable to attend, contact the instructor at email address below. Students will be required to take a proctored midterm and final exam. All other instruction will be completed online. The course will utilize online discussion, email submission and grading of student work.

Please Note: Distance Learning courses require active participation and students need to log into their classes during the first week of the quarter to avoid getting behind.

For classes using an online component, we suggest that you download the free version of Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox and use one of these browsers whether or not AOL is your Internet Service Provider. Otherwise, if you are using the AOL browser, the built in shortcuts may cause problems with most North Online course tools.
