Class
Step 1
- Register for Class
| 1:Register
for Class 2:Prepare for Class 3:How to Begin
|
If
you have never taken a Distance Learning class before, you might want to start by checking
out Is Distance Learning for You? which will help you
understand what Distance Learning is, and if it is a good choice for you. 1. Check the technical requirements of the class and make sure you will be able to meet them. They could include computer needs, class visits required, need for a VCR or ability to access one on campus. 2. You may want to speak with an Advisor to understand your scholastic goals and how to achieve them. You can reach an Advisor at AdvisorNorth@sccd.ctc.edu 3. If you require financial aid you need to contact the campus Financial Aid at nsccfinancialaid@sccd.ctc.edu.
4.
After the 4th day of the quarter and in the
case of overloads, instructor permission is required to add for all classes.
It is assumed that DL students will not be registering in person and will
need to get the instructor's signature in an email. Students need to email
the instructor to request permission to enroll in the course. Your
instructor will then need to email their permission to enroll you to NSCC
Registration arrc@sccd.ctc.edu
with cc: to the student. Make sure that your request includes your full
name, SID, course and item number so that registration has the information
needed to enroll you.
For your
current schedule can check online by going to the http://www.northseattle.edu/kiosk/ or
contact NSCC Registration at 206 527-3664 for more
information. If you are a new student you need to complete the Steps to Admission before you can register for the class. If you are a current returning student, you can sign up for a distance learning class using the online registration or in-person registration like you would for any other class. If you were a former student at North Seattle and have not taken a class recently you may need to contact Registration to have them update your eligibility and reactivate your account. They can be reached at 206 527-3664. Then you can sign up for a distance learning class using the online registration or in-person registration like you would for any other class.
6.
After you register for your class it is important to check for
the Tuition Payment Deadline. If you
miss this deadline you will lose your space in the class and may be unable to re-enroll.
